Hi World!!!...from my beat up barn in Windham NY...I thought I needed a new barn before!!!  That Irene was not very nice, to put it mildly...  But out of bad .... comes good...  I always look up...now that is not because I am a smallish chicken,  but because I have a positive attitude....Irene was very scary though...Us chickens are smart we flew up in the rafters, Natasha shooed the goats to safety , but the pigs stood there ground and refused to leave the barn.  Natasha had to wait until the water was thigh deep and she floated the pigs out to safety.  Yes fat floats!  There's been so many new faces volunteering in town, but they are all covered in mud, you would not know who they are if you saw them all cleaned up,  They are Wonderful!!! The Shusters are trying very hard to get the store up and running again.  I know they will.  Their target date is Saturday Sept. 24.  Gotta get some sleep the roosters crow even earlier these days...Wicked out!
